It's amazing the things you learn about people when you are around all kinds them all day long. Being in the postion that i am a have an insiders veiw of what really goes on, and the politics involed in running a resturant. Anything from complaining staff to upset customers aswell as great staff and wonderful customers that become friends. It's the small little things that i personally have started to notice about indvidual people, for example the way people ask or state there questions usually have an underlineing meaning that isn't really expressed in what they were saying. With the opportunity i have been givein to manage people i'm starting to be able to ask the right questions in order to find the real root of the problem. Usually when someone doesn't feel like being at work it's not because of work, it's because of something going on in their own personal life. Having people comfortable enough to speak to you in confidentuallity has givin me a new view on how to look at people in general. When you started to realize the impact a few words can have on a person good or bad you also realize how important it is to be a nice person and a pleasent person to work with and be around. I have made a huge effort to make sure that i shake hands and personally say hello to every single person i work with on that day. If you can only imagine how many people a day i have a chance to say a kind word too , it's so important for me to try to stay positve with my staff and customers because a simple thing like saying have a great day my acually turn someone elses day around.

Well this seems like the cool thing to do , and because i don't have the opportunity to talk to most of you this will give you a chance to at least know what i have been up to. !
